Parkersburg High School - Class of 60

Guestbook

Thanks to all of you who are letting us know about our classmates that have passed away. I have updated the "In Memory Of" page.

Now if I could just ever find time to get those darned photos up! Retirement Jan 3 - maybe then (she says with a sigh of hope)!

Hello Diane, Our thoughts and prayers
are with you and your husband. Hope he
continues to improve.
We are busy building a house in Ravenswood. Was hoping to be in by Thanksgiving---but weather has slowed us down. Good Luck -- Sonja

GOOD QUESTION, SONJA. WHERE IS EVERYBODY?? TOO BUSY TO KEEP IN TOUCH?? HOPE ALL IS WELL. MY HUSBAND, DON, HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL SINCE SEPT 7, EXCEPT FOR 13 DAYS, WITH A FUNGUS INFECTION IN HIS LUNGS. SO NOW YOU ALL KNOW WHERE I HAVE BEEN. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TWO MONTHS. PLEASE REMEMBER US IN YOUR PRAYERS. DIANE

Sharon, I agree w/ you. Diane said it best. It was so good to see everyone at the 45th. Tried to get around to see everybody & say hi but missed a few. Time seems to have stood still as old friendships have withstood the trials & tribulations of distance & age. Five years seems like a long time to see each other again. But one good thing about getting older - time somehow manages to go faster!! Have ordered the video & heard that it is really fantastic. Another way to cherish the memories. Look forward to seeing pictures on the web. Thanks for all your hard work Sharon & also to Mary Sue.

With apologies, I simply have not had time to get to the photos. I'm hoping that I can get them up within this next week.

I so agree with Diane - whatever your reasons for not attending the reunion, you need to throw that reason to the wind and plan to attend in 2010! The really neat thing is the school spirit that we all felt has not diminished at all. We DO have a terrific class!! I extend an invitation to each one of you that hasn't attended at all or hasn't been to the last couple of reunions, to give it a try and plan to attend. I don't think you will be disappointed. See you in 2010.

THE REUNION WAS GREAT. IT WAS GOOD TO SEE EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT ATTENDED FOR THE FIRST TIME. I HOPE THEY NOW REALIZE WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN MISSING ALL OF THESE YEARS. THE COMRADERIE WITH OUR CLASS IS AMAZING. HAVE BEEN TO MY HUSBAND, DON'S, CLASS REUNION A COUPLE TIMES AND THERE IS NO COMPARISON.

YOU KNOW, WE ALL HAVE PASSED THE STAGE OF WHO MARRIED WHO, WHO DIVORCED WHO, HOW MUCH MONEY WE HAVE EARNED, ETC. NOW WE JUST SHOW UP TO TELL EVERYBODY WE ARE STILL ALIVE AND BREATHING. I HOPE ALL OF US WILL STILL BE ALIVE IN 2010!

THANKS FOR THE DIRECTORY AND WEB SITE---GREAT JOB.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE KEEP IN TOUCH BY THIS MEANS OF COMMUNICATION.

BLESSINGS TO ALL,
DIANE RICE

I have been out of contact with most of the class for years, but I find this new web site to be great. I have been disabled for a couple of years now with a very serious back problem so I can not travel. Hope to stay in touch through this website. Again nice job!

Wonderful reunion, everything turned out great as usual. Great job by all the committee in setting it up. I have to tell you I was stunned by Linda Spivak Sanderson Bluegrass band that performed at the country club. I thought their music was great so I bought a CD from Linda at the club. I have played it ever since and it is outstanding. I would encourage all to buy one. I have 3 degrees and I cant find the words to say how proud I am of her. Looking forward to the 50th. Doctor J.

First time I have been here in the new
Guestbook.
Hope the reunion was a great turn out
and all had a good time. as some of you
know I had 2 Heart Attacks within 24
hours so I was unable to attend the reunion plus I had to have surgery again on the 29th of June so I am healing.
New Web Sight looks great, good Job Sharon.
Take care and stay safe.

We scrapped the forum style guestbook and have replaced it with this one. I hope this one will work a little easier for everyone. A new page is being developed for the suggestions for the 2010 reunion. Please watch for that.
