I have received word of the death of one of our classmates who died in 2011 that we didn't know about.

Fredrica Patricia Sammarco Sciacca passed away on January 26, 2011 and in doing research I found her obituary on the Schoedinger East Chapel website in Columbus Ohio. She lived in Pickerington, Ohio.

Phil I am so sorry about your Wife. I now exactly what you are dealing with, 22 years ago my Wife died from cancer. it is very hard to deal with but in time you will be able to feel alive again. Feel free to write me anytime you want to talk ok?

I retired last year after 50 years of teaching, 44 at Ohio Valley University in Vienna and moved to Texas to be nearer our children. My dear wife of 51 years, Annette Tucker Sturm of Little Rock, whom I met in college, passed away from bone and kidney cancer on July 13, 2015. We were both unable to attend our 55th class reunions because of her declining health. I hope to attend the 60th in 2020. Phil Sturm

I just received a letter from Larry Wilson of Morehead, Kentucky and appreciated his taking the time to let our class know of a deceased classmate.

Herbert Euell Petty died on April 12, 2011 at the Winchester Medical Center in Virginia. His obituary was published in the Northern Virginia Daily from April 13-14, 2011 and I have the copy of his obituary.

I REALLY wanted to attned this reunion, but,as luck would have it, I can't...Our daughter is turning the big 50 on the 18th....can't miss this birthday. No WAY! Hope I'm still around for our 60th reunion!!!!!

I received a note from our classmate Suzanne Mehl Pollock and she asked me to share it with you as she would enjoy hearing from classmates. The note is as follows:

Good morning PHS Class of 1960. Yesterday I mailed the Save The Date letter for our 55th class reunion. A copy of the letter is posted on our website.

I used the data from the directory of 5 years ago and I know there will be letters that will come back to me as undeliverable. Hopefully they will have a forwarding address so I can mail another letter. If there is no forwarding address, then I will remove the address from our database.

If you do not receive your letter in a few days, please let me know. You may contact me through our website.

A reunion committee will be meeting soon to finalize the details and when I get that information another letter will be sent. We will post it on our website and on our Facebook page.
